Equipped with expertise and deep listening and interviewing skills, New Dimensions has amassed a collection of more than 8000 interviews in its broadcasting library since it was founded as a nonprofit, educational broadcasting organization in 1973. New Dimensions was established on the principle that only through a change in human consciousness can the world be truly transformed. The personal and the planetary are connected as we expand our awareness of mind, body, psyche, and spirit and bring that awareness actively into the world, so also will the world be changed. This is Ms. Toms’ guiding mission as she notes that she herself has been transformed by the work. She states each New Dimensions’ guest has contributed to her growth and deepening her understanding of who she is and how she can better do her part to contribute in a positive way to the well-being of her community in the world.
In 2007 New Dimensions was honored to be approached by Stanford University Libraries, Special Collections for permission to house the entire 8000 hours of New Dimensions’ archive in their state-of-the-art facility.
