Since the World Business Academy’s founding, we have been consistently supported by our Fellows. It is our continued goal to leverage and catalyze the ideas of our Fellows as they do for us.
We are grateful to have constant engagement and interaction with our Fellows, no matter where in the world they may be. Although there is a pandemic raging through the world, we have been lucky enough to continue communication with our Fellows through digital means over the last few months. Please enjoy some highlights:
Peter Matthies
We are honored to officially welcome Peter Matthies, a Santa Barbara local, into our group of world-renowned Fellows. Peter is a former Venture Capitalist and founder of the Conscious Business Institute (CBI). He founded CBI in 2005 when he realized the need for building more life-giving and sustainable companies. The goal was, and still is, to provide leaders with paradigm-shfting approaches for business and success.
“I am delighted and deeply honored to join such an wonderful group of individuals as a Fellow. I am moved by the dedication to positive contribution and impact, which I have over the years witnessed in each and every one involved with the Academy.”
Lance Secretan
We had the opportunity to (virtually) sit down with Dr. Lance Secretan to discuss his recent endeavors. Dr. Secretan is an inspirational leader, teacher, and advisor who regularly hosts retreats. He has recently been focusing on frontline workers of the pandemic, recognizing that medical professionals are in need of extra empathy and compassion at this time. To make a difference, Dr. Secretan hosted a series of accessible Zoom meetings called “Inspiration in the Cloud” to provide people with a platform to express their thoughts and feelings and recharge in a community atmosphere.
Jerry Brown
Anthropologist Dr. Jerry Brown coauthored The Psychedelic Gospels in 2016 with his wife Julie, and more recently wrote an article titled “Mystical Experience and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy: Insights from Guided-Imagery Therapy with Cancer Patients” that was published in Psychedelics Today. Earlier this month, he presented on this article at Psyched 2020.
