Celebrating Eight Days of Global Togetherness
The Academy was happy to participate with The Optimist Daily, and with many other co-conveners, in “World UNITY Week” during the month of June.
Presented by UNITY EARTH, the event was a ground-breaking online gathering over 8 days, where global changemakers came together to connect, celebrate and advance the emerging good unfolding in the world.
Key conversations during World UNITY Week spotlight topics included: collective climate action, partnerships for peace, global governance, interfaith and interracial harmony, sustainable and regenerative development, the role of business and economics, human rights, disarmament and other key elements of a new kind of future that we are called to create together. The discussions were interwoven with powerful musical experiences and stories of those who are working on solutions to meet these challenges at the grass roots.
Additionally, our Fellows Dr. Dorothy Maver and Deepak Chopra had a large role in the gathering. Many members of the Academy’s broader network also participated in this extraordinary and inspiring event.
