Our safe energy initiative team is committed to the pursuing the decommissioning of existing nuclear power plants such as Diablo Canyon and finding feasible solutions for the permanent disposal of radioactive waste. As outlined in our video, an important part of securing a clear energy present and future is coming to terms with the events of Fukushima and how we can address the continued pollution from the site. The Academy is determined to find the best course of action in not the storage of nuclear waste, but its permanent disposal to protect the health of the earth and its inhabitants.
